Offered here is a great piece of animation – a TOP CAT Print from the Hanna Barbera Style Guide released in the late 90’s. The print is 8 1/2″ x 11″, in great condition and the artwork is fantastic, see the photo. What is a Style guide? Agencies and studios supply character style guides to their vendors, subcontractors & freelancers. These guides are filled with examples of character illustrations with suggested attitude poses, character turns, expressions, logo/fonts, colors, simple props, backgrounds. & group setups – all to be used in creating the vendor’s ancillary products (toys, books, clothing, school supplies, printed matter & etc…) A style guide provides guidelines for the way the brand must be presented. In this case, visual styles—rules defining the way the characters should look & provides uniformity in design, in other words, we want them to look like this!!
